Episode 12 - In conversation with Discovery Insure’s Anton Ossip
Anton Ossip is the CEO of Discovery Insure and is on the board of the South African Insurance Association. He is an actuary who has over 20 years of experience in managing insurance businesses, and is particularly passionate about the role Discovery Insure plays in South African society.
Ossip has been in his current position for over 10 years and has helped build Discovery Insure from a startup into a top insurer in South Africa and a leader in shared-value insurance globally. He is also a director of the South African Actuarial Development Programme and a past president of the Insurance Institute of South Africa.
In this Business Talk interview, Ossip discusses Discovery Insure’s ambition to touch the lives of 1 million non-Discovery Insure clients by 2023. Ossip breaks down why corporate social investment is so important to Discovery Insure and explains how Discovery Insure’s core purpose aligns with the insurer’s safety offering.
